On Monday 19 June, the renovation of Koning Boudewijnlaan will start. It is the first intervention on the HOV line Hasselt - Maasmechelen. Between Elfde Liniestraat and Voorstraat, Koning Boudewijnlaan will be completely redeveloped. The works will last until early 2024.
Koning Boudewijnlaan is being renovated across its entire width. There will be a two-way cycle path on the side of the road past the old fire station.Free bus lanes will be constructed here for public transport. In each direction of travel, De Lijn will have two concrete tracks embedded in a green bed.On the side of the swimming pool, a separate two-way cycle path also meets a spacious and comfortable footpath. We will renew the current roadway for motorized traffic and provide one lane in each direction again. The entire intervention transforms the Koning Boudewijnlaan into a pleasant and safe environment for cyclists and pedestrians. Various rows of trees and green verges turn the avenue into a green city entrance that exudes the same atmosphere as the Kapermolenpark (source: City of Hasselt).
From 19 June, parkers can park for free at parking C of Park H.
