Student Hotspot (www.studenthotspot.be) is a low-threshold info and coordination place in Hasselt where more than 15,000 students can get in touch with each other and the environment. This place by and for students is an initiative of the student council of the Association AUHL, UHasselt and Hogeschool PXL. Here connections are made - physically and online - between existing student organizations and initiatives relevant to students. Students can come here for info about being a student and leisure (where is what to do in Hasselt and Diepenbeek), but there are also services for students available such as buying and selling second-hand books, rent advice, student jobs or volunteering, entrepreneurship as a student or giving or taking tutoring.
THE COORDINATOR
Student Hotspot was looking for a coordinator (50%) who will realize and further develop the operation and communication of Student Hotspot, in collaboration with all internal and external stakeholders, in collaboration with students (student councils, student organizations and student associations), partner institutions (UHasselt and Hogeschool PXL) and some commercial partners.
And the white raven has been found. Nele Ghysen starts on Monday, September 26, as (half-time) coordinator of Student Hotspot. Nele graduated in 2020 as Master in Communication Science and then worked at VKW-Limburg as Coordinator young VKW Limburg and junior manager communication.
You can find Student Hotspot on the ground floor of the Kapertoren in the Elfde-Liniestraat 15A in Hasselt. Opening hours: Monday-Thursday from 12-18 pm. Interested? Be sure to drop by!
